I recently fell in love with beetroots that I even started being called "Iheoma beetroot", "Asa beetroot" by some of my friends because I was putting beetroots in almost everything I was waking. So I decided to find a. Way to preserve my beetroots so I could easily use them to cook without looking for how to buy them all the time.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Beetroots
  • Water ( for cleaning and processing)

Preparation Steps

Choose fresh, firm beetroot then Wash thoroughly to remove dirt.

Peel off the outer skin Slice or dice into desired sizes (depends on future use).

Lightly blanch (cooking vegetables briefly in boiling water, then immediately cooling to lock in color and texture or remove skins, and becoming the cut up beets to preserve color and nutrients) or Go straight to freezing.Portion into airtight containers or freezer bags Remove as much air as possible (this is key for quality control)
