Ingredients It Favours:

  • Assorted meat (beef
  • goat meat
  • shaki) Stockfish Smoked or dried fish Palm oil Cocoyam paste or achi (thickener) Ground crayfish Uziza leaves or pumpkin leaves (ugu) Pepper Seasoning cubes Salt Local spices (optional)

Steps:

  1. Wash and season meats, then boil until tender
  2. Soak and cook stockfish and dried fish until soft
  3. Add palm oil to the pot and allow it to blend with the stock
  4. Stir in cocoyam paste or achi to thicken the soup
  5. Add crayfish, pepper, and local spices
  6. Combine all proteins and allow to simmer
  7. Add sliced vegetables and cook briefly
  8. Adjust seasoning and allow soup to cook till well blended
